Dynamo Bike & Bake Budapest

In a small courtyard in Budapest, not far from the City Market, down a little cobblestone alley in a quiet part of town where the nicer B&Bs are located, you can find the tiny Dynamo Bike and Bake.

We stopped in for a coffee, a cake and a bike rental. Wait, that’s not true. We stopped in for a coffee and a cake. Hang on, that’s also a lie. We stopped in for a coffee – but it was delicious! They also, as you can see, rent bikes and make cakes, including vegan and gluten free options.

It was recommended to us by a friend – otherwise it’s quite likely we would never have found it. But it’s a beautiful spot for a quiet break. Budapest is a very cycle-friendly city – if you’re bicycle-inclined, you should definitely do a bike tour.*

*Disclaimer: I can’t actually ride a bike. Well, I learned how to just last year and then I went on one bike ride around Lake Bled. Those are my only two cycling experiences ever.
